Jon Keenan

Jon Keenan is a potter and teacher based in New Hampshire. This is his second exhibition, but fir Active internationally, Jon Keenan's studio work explores raku and high fired glazed ceramics, along with anagama wood-fired functional and sculptural clay work. Jon is the recipient of awards from the Fulbright Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, New England Foundation for the Arts, Whiting Foundation, and the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. He has presented and exhibited his work widely in the United States and abroad.  Jon has led ceramic study trips to kilns in Japan and accompanied his students from Colby-Sawyer College on earthquake relief and field study trips to Nepal for the Wesson Honors Program. In 2015, he was a Fulbright scholar in the craft/ceramics department of the Tokyo University of the Arts.
